Loren walked silently, slowly through the gardens. She had a bottle of wine in her hand. She was tired, confused, and wanted to end everything right then. She had an idea, but was afraid of heights. She walked down the street to the giant bridge that hovered quite a ways over the water below. The boats looked like tiny cars. She drank the rest of the contents of the bottle. Loren climbed up on the rail closest to the edge. She held on tight to the pole. It was dark outside, no one would know if she jumped, no one would care. Her heart raced. She looked down at the racing waters below her, they were dark and cold. For Matt Good[/center][/b] |

Matt was walking on the bridge when he saw a figure on the side. Once he got closer he had realized that it was Loren. He walked cautioously up to her, "Hey, I hope you aren't thinking about jumping." He had a concerned look on his face.

Matt offered his hand out to Loren, hoping that the gesture wouldn't startle her. His mind was racing trying to find a way to get her down from the side.

After a moment she took his hand and after she got down fell into his chest, she broke down into tears. |

Matt held onto Loren tighly, not wanting to let her go. He was curious as to why she was standing on the edge of the bridge. His hand was on the back of Lorens head ever so gently petting her soft hair and saying softly that everything was going to be alright. "Why were you on the edge of the bridge?"

Matt gently wiped the eyliner away from her cheeks. Matt looked p and then back down into Lorens eyes. "Why? Why would you want to jump?"

"Loren, you have got to do something about this guy. I've never met him personaly but from what I've heard he's not the nicest guy around." Matt hugged Loren then looked into her eyes. "Would you like to go walk around and talk about this?" Matt smiled tenderly at Loren, hoping to cheer her up some.

Matt had grabbed Lorens hand and was holding it as if he didn't want to let go of her. They had started walking down the street. Then matt paused and turned to face Loren.

Matt just gazed into her eyes thinking. "I was just...thinking. The Lee guy doesn't sound too great.....Instead of going back to your place tonight why dont you stay at mine?"
